Here is how you can grill salmon
Step 1: Buy the perfect fish
The basic thing about a salmon is that you need it to be fresh. If it is possible, smell them before you buy and make sure that no smell is coming from them. Look at the gills and make sure they are not grey. They should be bright red or orange. Look at the eye of the fish after the smell and gill check is done. The eye should be clear and not blurry. Look at it from head to tail and see if there is anything wrong with it. If they let you touch it make sure it is smooth and not mushy or sticky. You do not want to come home with such a fish.
Step 2: Filleting the fish
Start by cutting the pieces you want to grill. You can start by cutting behind the gill and then along the back bone. Make sure you remove the bones if you are looking for fillet. Some people buy salmon fillets so that you can simply just come home and grill them.
Step 3: Making the avocado salsa
If you are thinking of having them with some salsa, you can get avocados. Cut the avocado through the center and take the seed out. Take the cover off as well and cut the light green inside part into small cubes. Add few slices of red onion and olive oil. Now, you should know that it completely depends on you because if you like more onions you can add them and if you like more olive oil, the same goes here as well. Sprinkle salt over it.
Step 4: Marinate them
Marinating is obvious for meat but it is not a stranger when it is about fishes. Get the salmon fillets that are supposed to be grilled and in a bowl mix salt, pepper, olive oil and paprika. Cover the salmon pieces and it is going to be more like marinating. Keep them in the refrigerator for 45 minutes so that the spices can sit well on the pieces. The forty-five minutes will make sure the fish pieces are absorbing all the flavor so do not hurry in taking them out.
Step 5: Prepare the grill
Make sure the grill is hot and place the pieces and wait for one minute and thirty seconds. Close the grill and open it and again close it for more two minutes and thirty seconds. Now, serve it on a plate and put your avocado salsa all over it.
Tips
• You can serve it with brown rice because you need a carbohydrate on your meal.
